How the challenge works
The Summer Study Days Challenge rewards steady daily practice. Each summer month stands on its own, so a slow start in June never blocks a Gold Star in July. On top of the monthly stars, students who log 35+ full study days across June–August earn the summer-wide Gold Star — the 35+ target is cumulative, because no single calendar month has 35 days.

Which months count
June, July, August — three separate chances to earn a star. Every month resets to zero on the first day.
Math and reading both count as one day
A day only counts toward a star when the student completes their Kumon math assignment AND their reading assignment on that same day. Finishing just one subject leaves the day half done, so it does not count.
Who logs the days
Center instructors mark completed days on each student's calendar. Students and parents can see the calendar and progress at any time, so there is nothing to fill in at home.
Awards
At the end of each month the center prints an award report listing every Bronze, Silver, and Gold Star earner.
